Two of my favourite things in life are Colour and Travel so when a couple of years ago I was thinking about how to combine these two loves into a range of wedding stationery I came up with my Tropical Travel wedding invitations. For these invitations I wanted to convey the exotic beaches and areas I had visited in Australia and South East Asia, the brightly coloured tropical flowers against the bright blue ocean and sky. I also wanted to convey my love of travel with colourful map prints and a fun luggage tag motif … this range was all about creating wedding invitations for not only those who were getting married abroad but were, like me, also a little bit travel obsessed – perhaps had met on a tropical island and were celebrating this in their wedding at home.
The Tropical Travel wedding invitations seemed to suit a more fun format so I used a square design with a little pocket inside for an information and rsvp card. I also created some map print envelope liners to echo the map print inside the invitations. On more than one occasion I have been asked by clients for a bespoke map to be used which shows where they are getting married or where they met and obviously I’m more than happy to add these little extra details in to make the stationery perfect for them.
As always with my stationery ranges Tropical Travel comes with a full range of matching reception stationery including placecards, table numbers and any number of other things that you can think of. I love to design extra bits and pieces for clients weddings that are personal to them – whether that be tags for their favours or signage for around the room.
