The brief for Tamzen and Tom’s wedding at Rockbeare Manor near Exeter was modern elegance. The couple chose a neutral colour palette with touches of peach and cream. Here’s the styling plan I created on their behalf…
Soft, Modern & Elegant
Rockbeare Manor is a Grade I listed Regency manor house set in over 100 acres of parkland. The building is steeped in history, giving it a timeless elegance that was a perfect backdrop for Tamzen and Tom’s wedding.
To achieve the modern feel they were after, I suggested adding elements of Perspex, agate and vellum. To keep things looking soft and super pretty, we used big statement ‘clouds’ of gypsophila to create a striking ceremony backdrop and table centrepieces. The key thing to take away from this wedding is that even with a very limited colour palette you can still create massive visual impact.
From Ceremony to Reception
The ceremony flowers were relocated for the wedding breakfast and reception. Placing them over the doors to the ballroom made a real statement as guests entered the dining space. During the meal, everyone’s gaze was drawn to the newlyweds seated at the top table where we created a beautiful focal point using a fabric backdrop. Agate slice place names added another elegant touch to the tables.
