I’m a sucker for a short or knee length wedding dress … I look dreadful in maxi dresses so its probably not surprising.
I always find there are many brides who opt for a longer dress just because its traditional and not necessarily because it suits them. Of course if you want to stick with tradition that’s absolutely your choice but considering a shorter dress … especially if you are a little shorter yourself and worried that a longer dress might swamp you … is definitely an option.
You may also want, if its in your budget, to consider wearing a more formal long dress during your ceremony but change into something a bit shorter and more ‘danceable’ for your evening reception!
