One of the great things about having a photo shoot with Clare Kinchin Photography to take new photos of all my ranges of stationery for the new website was finding new ways of seeing the older ranges I have in my collection. Some of these ranges I was even considering removing from the website entirely – but finding new ways to style them for the photo shoot and seeing how Clare worked with them made me see many of them in a totally new light and be really excited about them again.

One of the ranges this happened with most was my Graphic Prints collection. I had originally designed and photographed it against a dark wooden background which I thought made the retro colours pop out, but photographing it against a white background with blue polka dots gave it a new fun fresh feel which I hadn’t expected at all. I’ve rediscovered the fun floral feel I originally had in mind when designing this range – incorporating a retro mid-century feel with lots of the colours that define that era – especially coral and mustard yellow.

I hope you love this range as much as I do now … to really help imagine how you would style this look for your big day I’ve created a wedding inspiration moodboard. I’ve definitely followed the retro feel but subtlety so the look is still modern and up to date. So mixing the retro colours, mary jane shoes and a slight sixties hairstyle but with a very modern glitter dipped dress and ombre cake. I’ve also used succulents as we did in the photo shoot for the florals because I think it brings the look bang up to date.
