I have recently been working on some bespoke stationery designs for one of my clients who is having a beautiful rustic lavender theme. The design we have come up with for her wedding incorporates some really lovely bespoke touches with lace and hessian and a floral lavender motif – I’ll hopefully be sharing the stationery with you at some point over the next few months once they have sent their stationery out to their guests.
I have created some ideas for a Lavender wedding colourscheme on my Pinterest boards https://uk.pinterest.com/knotsandkisses/wedding-themes-lavender/ and wanted to pull these together into a moodboard to share with you on the blog.
I absolutely love creating moodboards to go with my stationery designs … I always think that if I wasn’t so passionate about paper I would probably be a wedding stylist instead … I’m just obsessed with pulling colour schemes together. I even make moodboards when I’m looking to redecorate a room in my house. It can really help you for a cohesive idea. For this lavender colour scheme I drew inspiration from the Mediterranean adding in rustic wooden touches and beautiful olive leaves and garlands mixed in with the sprigs of lavender. The addition of lace and really pretty fabrics keeps the look from being too rustic and creates elegance, and I just love this floral crown which is pretty but not too over the top.
Here are some more ideas I love in a lavender colour palette. I’m a big fan of naked wedding cakes for more rustic weddings … wouldn’t this look amazing in a barn or a tuscan villa! … so this definitely had to be included and the beautiful unstructured wedding bouquet is my favourite look for flowers at the moment.
I hope this gives some of you some inspiration for your own wedding … and if you would like some bespoke stationery to match please don’t hesitate to drop me an email to info@knotsandkisses.co.uk
