Ooh its been a tiring one here at Knots & Kisses this week! But it’s a sign of things to come over the next few weeks as the tiredness was mainly caused by starting the renovations of our new house in Torquay over the weekend. But all most definitely worth it … we stripped lots of wallpaper and demolished a sixties brick fireplace … plus very excitingly found a parquet floor lurking under the laminate in the kitchen! Fingers crossed it turns out to be in good enough condition to keep.
Back to weddings and there has been lots to inspire on other blogs this week … and it seems to be a week for a bit of glitz and glamour. Whereas last week it was all about the colour this week I’m seeing lots of beading and crystals and gorgeous luxe colour schemes with lace and sparkles.
Take a look at this inspiration post for example from Want That Wedding http://www.wantthatwedding.co.uk/2018/01/06/lilac-grey-gorgeous-gold-wedding-inspiration-colour-ideas/ … the gorgeous combination of lilacs and gold glitter is beautiful … and that dress!
Carrying on the sparkly theme I loved reading from Tamyrn Lawrence on the Love My Dress blog about the new collection of 1970s inspired gowns by Vicky Rowe http://www.lovemydress.net/blog/2018/01/vicky-rowe-2016-nouveau-1970s-inspired-bridal-gowns.html I love the beading on these gowns and they look so comfortable! Perfect for a more relaxed bride.
Although worth a mention is this fab multicultural wedding on the Rock My Wedding blog … I love working on stationery for weekend long multicultural weddings and love the colour and vibrancy of the one day compared with the pared down elegance of the next. http://www.rockmywedding.co.uk/jessica-sandeep/
Over on Boho Weddings I just love the feel of this Winter Wedding in Sweden https://www.boho-weddings.com/2018/01/11/winter-forest-wedding-in-sweden-by-loke-roos-photography/ The brides dress and gorgeous little over jacket are perfect and really unusual.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend … I will be up to my ears in wallpaper strippings again!
