I’m also very excited when a client gets in touch about a bespoke design. Designing bespoke invitations means sitting down with my trusty notepad and sketching and getting creative.
However I was a little bit jumping for joy when Sarah contacted me about her wedding theme. The thing is I’m a bit of a closet geek! Give me a box set of Star Wars or Lord of the Rings and a tub of icecream and I’m pretty happy for the day. So when Sarah said that her wonderland wedding theme was to incorporate elements of Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland and Labyrinth ( the amazing David Bowie film obviously! ) I was over the moon and itching to get designing!
We decided on a design which looked like the book in the Labyrinth film … with several internal pages incorporating design elements from Harry Potter ( the deathly hallows logo ), Alice in Wonderland illustrations and tied with a leather look tie and a antique look key.
Inside the text was written in an Elvish style font in places and also incorporated quotes from Sarah and Adrians favourite films.
