Wow what a Christmas and New year! I’m still buzzing from an amazing holiday over the festive period! We started with a bloody amazing ‘friend’s Christmas’ on the 19th December catching up with some of my closest friends who I often don’t get to see at Christmas because of visiting family and then after a few days in London and Surrey we headed off to Morocco for Christmas and New Year. I can’t wait to share with you a full review of our tour of Morocco and some of the amazing photos we took … but the main thing to say is I have come back with my vision full of colour. Morocco really was a visual delight and I’m even more obsessed with colour than I was when I returned from Thailand!
So to celebrate the New Year and to add a burst of Sunny colour to start 2016 I wanted to share with you the yellow wedding invitations in my Sketch range of stationery. It is in the ‘Brights’ collection on my website for a reason … I just love the pop of bright yellow against the beautiful white textured card! To illustrate the range I drew a gorgeous little bird to head the stationery and tied the range in twine to create a gorgeous little package and bundle of stationery for your guests to open when they receive their invitations.
My favourite thing about my Sketch range is the fact that the design combines my favourite elements of modern graphic design with the crisp white card and black typography and also some more rustic elements with the Kraft envelopes and twine. Which is why I created a tag style placecard with string ties as well as a full range of matching reception stationery. These placecards I think are perfect for tying round crisp white napkins in front of each guest or perhaps tying on to your favours or wine glasses.
As always, with every range, I create matching wedding inspiration moodboard to give those of you who love these invitations some styling inspiration on how to incorporate this into your wedding. For the Sketch range in yellow I’ve always viewed a sunny modern version of a Mediterranean feel with green foliage rather than flowers ( I know shock horror me styling something without flowers! ) and then just bright pops of yellow.
