A year or two ago I was asked by a wedding photographer to produce some stationery they could use on a photo shoot they were doing in San Sebastian. The photo shoot was very much to be inspired by the Mediterranean with a gorgeous palette or blues, greens and whites. My immediate thoughts drove me to think, not of San Sebastian strangely, but of Tuscany and of olives, vines, and one of my favourite garden flowers Hydrangeas. I have always wanted a garden full of gorgeous hydrangeas in the summer … I am currently lucky enough to have one gorgeous pink version in my garden but am hoping to have more when we move house in the new year and will certainly be purchasing a white version as I just love filling vases with their huge blooms in summer.
So the Tuscany range emerged from the stationery that I provided for this photo shoot and when we were re-photographing it I had visions of a Tuscany wedding with pretty fabrics, green foliage and of someone writing letters outside in the sun on a rustic wooden table. I’m lucky enough to have some beautiful old calligraphy pens which belonged to my other half’s grandfather so was able to use this gorgeous green pen in the shoot which went with my vision perfectly!

When I created the Tuscany range I immediately knew I wanted to use a belly band to tie the Day Invitation Packs together and created one in a summery shade of blue green, again using a hydrangea and rose motif. All of the text on the invitations was done in a combination of a handwritten style script and and old fashioned typewriter style font which, again, I thought echoed my visions of foreign correspondence and writing a novel in the Provence or Tuscany sun.
So to go with this vision of a perfect Mediterranean summer wedding I did what I normally do and created a Pinterest board to collate all my ideas of how I envisioned this range working in the setting of a real wedding https://www.pinterest.com/knotsandkisses/wedding-themes-tuscany/ . From there I have created a moodboard to show you my vision of the Tuscany wedding, combining all those things I was dreaming of when I created the range .. rustic wooden tables, vines, olive branches, hydrangeas and pretty lace in the sunshine.
