Last year, when the country was in lockdown and weddings were on hold, demand for my bespoke venue illustration service helped keep my business going. Creating beautiful paintings of people’s homes or wedding venues for anniversary presents and birthday gifts also gave me something joyful to focus on when things were otherwise pretty bleak.

I’m incredibly proud of the work I produced during this time. There’s something very special about creating a painting you know will be treasured for many years to come. It’s an intricate, time-consuming process, but I enjoy every second spent with a pen or paintbrush in hand. You can read more about how I create each bespoke venue illustration here.

An Update for 2022/23

The good news is weddings have picked up again. Now that I’m busy styling during the summer months, it’s becoming more and more difficult to accommodate this type of work, especially original paintings.

With this in mind, I’ve decided to limit standalone paintings (i.e. those that aren’t part of a larger stationery/styling commission) to the off-season winter months. This means I’ll be undertaking these projects between November and March each year.

Although I’m fully booked for 2021, I’m already scheduling work for November 2022 – March 2023. If your first wedding anniversary falls after these dates, a bespoke venue illustration would be a perfect traditional paper gift.

Please get in touch if you have any questions or to commission your own bespoke illustration.
