I had a lovely time at a little wedding fair on Sunday at Abode Hotel in Exeter. Such a gorgeous little venue right opposite the cathedral and a few doors down from one of my favourite places to eat in Exeter ‘Cote Brasserie’. It has a gorgeous light sunny dining room upstairs with gorgeous views over the cathedral and the food here has always been wonderful. Myself and a few fellow suppliers had a bite to eat here after the wedding fair and I had an amazing piece of seabass.
Anyway I digress! What I want to talk to you about today is one of my fellow suppliers who was also exhibiting at the wedding fair .. the lovely and gorgeous Charlotte Atkinson http://www.watercolourweddings.com/ . Charlotte is an amazing artist and provides an incredibly unique service for couples who want a unique memento of their wedding day. Essentially you can hire Charlotte to attend your wedding and paint live, creating a memorable keepsake in the form of a painting of your venue, reception and guests. Its also a great form of entertainment as there are always groups of guests wanting to watch the painting come to life and at the end the painting is displayed at your reception and you can take home as a keepsake.
Having witnessed Charlotte’s painting at wedding fairs in person I can thoroughly recommend her paintings and it would really add a touch of elegance to your wedding. I can’t think of anything more wonderful have to remember your wedding by. So many people I know frame their table plans, guest book posters etc. and find some space on their wall to display them but to have an actual piece of art commemorating your wedding … as a massive art lover I just find this perfect, and Charlotte’s paintings have so much character … I love their fluidity and colours.
