I’m very excited today as I have launched 2 new stationery ranges on the website! They are both part of the Brights Collection and I just love how fun and bright and floral they are! The first of the ranges is the Spring Garden range. Bright floral wedding invitations which were inspired by a photo shoot at my very own wedding venue Coombe Trenchard! http://www.coombetrenchard.co.uk/
Last spring the gorgeous ladies at Blue Fizz Events http://www.bluefizzevents.co.uk/ commissioned me to produce some stationery for a style shoot at Coombe Trenchard. The theme was spring garden inspired by the gorgeous gardens at Coombe Trenchard and I really went for it with a bright floral wedding theme with a hint of the rustic in some dark brown string. I thought using the dark string rather than the usual coloured twine really echoed Coombe Trenchards wood and panelling and the history of the house. We had an amazing day on the shoot and I loved the stationery so much I was excited to turn it into a permanent range on the website.
I took samples of the range to the Westpoint wedding show in October and it proved so popular that I knew it was something I had to launch … and so here it is! You can find the Spring Garden range in the Brights section http://knotsandkisses-co-uk.stackstaging.com/beta/shop/all-collections-spring-garden/personalised-invitations-stationery-spring-garden-3/ .
With this range I really wanted to concentrate on bursts of colour and also create a leaf pattern which could be used across the range. So as well as the bright pink flowers and monogram the back of cards and the envelope liners have the leaf pattern on in a bright burst of green. Against the crisp white card and dark brown twine I think it looks really cheerful and bold.
As with all of my ranges you can order a full range of invitations, Save the Dates, Order of Service and matching reception stationery. Order directly from the website or contact me if you want to discuss any bespoke changes you might want to make first.
I can’t wait to hear from some of you and receive order’s for this range … it brightens up the studio and definitely makes a dull day more cheery!
I’ve also launched another range today Watercolour Florals and I’ll be sharing details of this very soon!

I do love working on bespoke changes to my existing ranges for clients! I’m not in the slightest bit precious about my work so if you have some changes you wish to make to make it ‘more you’ and more suitable for your wedding then please don’t hesitate to ask! One of the bespoke changes I did recently was for the lovely Jacalyn.
Jacalyn really liked my Midnight Rose range of stationery but wanted to incorporate a watercolour flowers painting she had done herself into the design rather than my standard florals which I use. I absolutely loved the watercolour – so bright and fun and colourful! – Jacalyn is incredibly talented … oh and did I mention she is also a florist ? She works for Cottage Flowers in Ilminster if you’re interested in taking a look. http://www.cottageflowersandmore.co.uk/
Anyway I worked on incorporating Jacalyn’s gorgeous watercolour and gave it a dark grey background and the font style of my Midnight Rose range.
I also incorporated a jade green colour for the belly bands to pick up on the colours in the watercolour flowers and of course it came with matching rsvp and information cards. For these I took small elements of the watercolour flowers Jacalyn had painted and seperated them off to give a touch of the illustration to the top of the information card and the side of the rsvp.
I’m looking forward to working on the matching Order of Service very soon!
Incorporating existing artwork you might have is something I am more than happy to do as part of my work here at Knots & Kisses. I’ve had several clients in the past who already have a really lovely painting or sketch of themselves, or their wedding venue that they would like to incorporate. The only thing to bear in mind is that you have the permission of the original artist to do this.
But if it’s something you would like me to look at then please don’t hesitate to get in touch at email@example.com
Gosh its been a busy week. I’ve had lots of orders to get in the post for clients ( don’t get me started on the Post Office queues! ) before I head off on holiday! I’m now on holiday until the 4th January during which the studio will be closed but I’ll still be taking orders via the website which will be processed in January. I’ve also still got lots of lovely blog posts scheduled for you whilst I’m on holiday so don’t worry there will still be lots of wedding inspiration and advice available!
I’m now looking forward to a few relaxing Christmassy days at friends in London and Surrey, seeing the new Star Wars movie on Monday … which I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am! #scifigeek … and then off on holiday to Morocco for 2 weeks for Christmas and New Year!
Meanwhile I’ve been seeing some gorgeous posts on other blogs in the Wedding World this week! So here is my weekly wedding round up of the best inspiration out there …
First up I was delighted to take part and provide stationery for this photoshoot by Ideal Imaging and Linda Grace Weddings which had a gorgeous Beatrix Potter theme! The photos are so beautiful and rich looking and I think the floral stationery looked fantastic. ( Lots more images and full credits on the Ideal Imaging blog post )
I was very drawn to the wedding of this couple on Rock My Wedding … perhaps because she drew on inspiration from Morocco! … but the little details are gorgeous http://www.rockmywedding.co.uk/kate-james-2/
My heart skipped a beat when I saw this just stunning alternative little mermaid photo shoot on the Rock n Roll Bride blog this week – the photography is just beautiful! http://www.rocknrollbride.com/2015/12/the-little-mermaid-girls/
There was a great post on the Love My Dress blog from Michelle at Pocketful of Dreams about 2016 Wedding Trends http://www.lovemydress.net/blog/2015/12/2016-wedding-trends.html#more-396785
And finally on a festive note I couldn’t resist these gorgeous Christmas decor ideas from the lovely girls at Bespoke Bride http://www.bespoke-bride.com/2015/12/17/how-to-hang-your-stocking-when-you-dont-have-a-fireplace/
I’m off to drown myself in mulled wine and mince pies and help my friends cook our ‘early Christmas Dinner’ .. hic!
Have a fabulous weekend!
I’m always happy to tweek the design of my standard ranges of wedding stationery to better suit your wedding and today I wanted to share with you how I had done this for one couple recently.
Jo got in touch and loved my Pretty Pastels range and the look of the floral wedding invitations but wanted a bit more of a rustic touch so, for just a small bespoke fee of £25, we got rid of the belly band in favour of some thin twine and swapped the white envelope for a brown kraft version.
The result looked incredibly pretty ….
You can see all of the original Pretty Pastels range which it is based on on my website at http://knotsandkisses.co.uk
Today I’m showcasing the second of my new wedding invitations ranges which I am launching this week … Midnight Rose. You can purchase samples now via the website at http://knotsandkisses.co.uk
Midnight Rose took shape because I wanted to create a darker ‘moodier’ floral invitation which was more reflective of my current tastes interiors. Many of my ranges start of with inspiration from interiors as its a passion of mine and currently I have an obsession with charcoal grey!
My opinion is that not all weddings need to be filled with pastel colours so this one is for those of us that like darker and brighter palettes.
The invitations come either as an invitation on its own or as a invitation pack wrapped in a contrasting plum coloured belly band with a monogram of the couples initials.
The collection comes with a full range of matching reception stationery including placecards, table names, order of service and table plans.
I’m very excited this week as my 3 new collections of wedding stationery are now available to purchase samples of online.
I’ve been wanting to share these ranges for some time now and they went down incredibly well when I took them along to a recent wedding fair at Exeter Castle. So now its time that they launch on the website! http://knotsandkisses.co.uk
The first of the new collections is called Pretty Pastels.
The range, as the name suggests is all about the prettiness of spring colours and flowers. It is available in three different colour ways with the same floral motif … so they could easily be mixed and matched for an eclectic Pastel look if you weren’t going for one strict colour scheme.
The colours are lilac, pink and lemon.
There is also a full range of matching reception stationery in each colourway.
Firstly congratulations to any of you who may have got engaged over the Christmas holidays so far!
Hopefully you will find this blog useful when planning your wedding and choosing your wedding stationery and please don’t hesitate to drop me an email if you need any help 🙂
Today I want to share a bespoke version of my Country Garden range of Wedding Stationery, which is one of the most popular ranges I offer here at Knots & Kisses. http://knotsandkisses.co.uk/countrygardenweddingstationery.html
I am often asked by couples to tweak existing ranges to better suit their wedding and I can easily do this for just a small fee of £25.
Earlier this year I was contacted by the lovely Lorna who loved my Country Garden range but wanted a paler pink background colour to better suit her wedding and also to incorporate some real lace into the design.
I was pleased to help and removed the ‘lace print’ from the design … tying real lace ribbon at the spine instead. It gave a beautiful hand finished look to these pretty floral wedding invitations.
To match the bespoke design above I’ve created a inspiration moodboard .. hopefully this will inspire some of you that like the look for your wedding.
I’ve mixed country ginghams and rustic wooden touches with pretty lace gloves and flowers.
If you would like to discuss a bespoke design for your wedding stationery just get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org … I’ll be back in the office responding to emails on the 5th January 🙂
What with the weather being so very Autumnal at the moment and the leaves finally falling off the trees I’ve been thinking very much about Autumn inspired wedding stationery over the last week. Weddings in the, traditionally ‘off season’, Autumn period are becoming more and popular with couples as they look to save money. Its also a magical time of year to get married if you are looking for beautiful lighting for your wedding photography and a backdrop of gorgeous russet coloured leaves and trees.
I will be launching another autumn themed range of stationery in the new year but today I thought I would revisit my Rose Cottage range which has a lovely rustic Autumnal feel to it in shades of blush, cream and russet red with a brown kraft paper band and envelope.
The Rose Cottage range also has vintage stamp details and is tied up in string … giving your guests a lovely parcel to open.
Add Rose print envelope liners and address labels to complete the look and purchase from a full range of matching reception stationery.
You can purchase samples from my Rose Cottage collection via the website at http://knotsandkisses-co-uk.stackstaging.com/beta/rosecottageweddingstaionery.html
Today I’m happy to share with you the Day Invitation Suite that I created for the lovely Abi & Craig who are getting married this October in Devon.
I have previously shared their Save the Date cards http://knotsandkisses.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/vintage-floral-botanical-style-save.html which were the first part of a Vintage Botanical theme that they wished to carry throughout their stationery, inspired by Victorian seed packets and botanical illustrations in shades of heritage green and pink.
Here is the final stationery design which I came up with .. a parcel tied with ivory lace with a tag to finish with their initals and date on.
If you like this design and want to order something similar for your wedding then please don’t hesitate to drop me an email at email@example.com or hang on for a little while and you’ll be pleased to hear that a similar design will be launched as part of my new Autumn Collections in September on the website http://knotsandkisses.co.uk
Here is a botanical themed moodboard I have created to match the stationery and give you a few styling ideas … full credits can be found on the previous Save the Date blog post …
Firstly a massive apology for the lack of blog posts over the last week … unfortunately after getting back form my little bank holiday weekend break I got hit down by a horrible stomach bug and was ill for much of last week 🙁
Feeling fighting fit this morning though and ready to tackle a new week and lots of wedding stationery sample orders which came in over the weekend!
Definitely the most popular range at the moment is my Country Garden collection for which I’ve had lots of sample requests and is definitely proving popular with all of you having pretty floral summer weddings this year.
So here’s a little reminder of the range which launched earlier this year.
A full range of samples can be ordered from my website http://knotsandkisses-co-uk.stackstaging.com/beta/countrygardencollection.html or you can now order the Country Garden range from my Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/187790407/country-garden-floral-wedding?ref=shop_home_active_9
